Ben Davis is an author from Tamworth, Staffordshire. His birthday is on 24th February. Ben admits to this day it was a really weird thing to say.

Joe Cowley was going to be called Tom Cowley (after his dog Tommy) However, the publisher advised Ben not to as it could cause confusion with Tom Gates.





Joe Cowley’s hometown is a mix of Tamworth and another town called Atherstone. Hence Tammerstone.

The name Cowley is taken from the street in Tamworth Ben lived in when he was a baby.
